2nd of Nolus in the year 720 TR

This journey feels good. We’re on our way to Ashur for the first leg of our travel and we’ve already found combat. Agrik must be bringing us luck! No one was hurt, fortunately for us, though I would not have minded if the haughtiness of the Air Mage, Marcus, had been brought down a peg or two.

The mages are not quite as stout or tempered for traveling as Febreze and I, the comforts of the Chantry have left them soft, but it has given me more time for my prayers during our travels. We built a large fire offering to Agrik in the aftermath of the battle while the mages recovered. With a little luck, and perhaps the watchful gaze of Agrik drawn to us by our offering, we will see more and greater foes.

We should be in Ashur in a few days time. Prior to leaving Chantry Tigris, the mages heard rumor of villagers who have been going missing over the last few months. They want to investigate, both as a public service and in hopes that it might lead to some greater mystery than a few peasants falling prey to wildlife or rampaging Gârgún.

Agrik be praised! He has seen fit to guide us into glorious combat. I could feel his hand guide mine in the fire of battle. Though I have been trained in the divine powers granted to the faithful of Agrik, never before have they felt so in tune with the spirit of the God of War!

Another rumor persists of a refugees amassing in Asyria. Assuming we do not encounter any issues along the way, I expect we will reach the city tomorrow morning. The High Ceremony of the Balefire is tomorrow and I must prepare for mass. The mages seem eager to take the extra rest for the day, though at least the Metal Mage has plans to make himself useful procuring new arms and armor while we are stopped there.
