Hârn: Genisis – Overview of Genisis

The Isle of Genisis is a small island nation southwest of Hârn, but still part of the continent of Lýthia. While settled, and indeed home to a monarch, several magical schools known as Chantries and many old towns, much of the island is still unexplored and teaming with wild and fantastic creatures.

The density and range of unique creatures on the island is due, according to legend, to the god Ilvir. A shape changer and rumored to be the only god to reside on Kèthîra itself, Ilvir is the creator of Ivashu; the enchanted and strange life forms he sends out into the world.

Some believe that Genisis is the natural retreat of Ilvir, a vacation home of sorts, created or co-opted by the god as a testing ground for his unique creations before sending them out into the world at large. Other legends and tales tell of alternate myths leading to the creation of the isle, but all agree that the isle came into existence within the last few thousand years, much, much later than the creation of the rest of the world.

Possibly related, or perhaps coincidentally, Gârgún, wild orc creatures, roam the wilds of Genisis in greater numbers than found in Hârn. All manor of mystical and mundane creatures also call the island home, whether there naturally or drawn by the god of creation to the island.

What is known for sure, the island holds great mystery and a chance for adventure for any that seek it out.
